This app is great but not on android

Hi! I LOVELOVELOVE THIS APP! It's so helpful and it let's people all be in control of their own lunch. However, I do wish that you could add a drink or a few with your lunch and make a higher limit for how many food items you can add. Thanks!

I am 19 years old and I found this app recently. I have been wanting to meal plan and this app has helped. I found it last week. I also used the La La Breakfast app. I think the sections of protein vegetable, fruit and snack are great. The only thing I can think of to add to the app is a drinks section. I like the little monsters and colors that can be made for each child, or activity. I have one lunchbox labeled my name, and one lunchbox titled Pool Snacks. I like that I can add my own food items with pictures. I used it to plan my breakfasts for the next week. I wish I had found it sooner for myself. I use this app for myself only and I am not a parent. Sincerely Mina Cheetah

If I could give this app 10 stars, I would. First of all, the idea behind this app is genius. It’s so easy to use, and the grocery list feature is super helpful. My kids love their lunches now that they help choose what goes in them. I follow her on Instagram and her lunches constantly blow me away. This app is awesome. Totally recommend!!

Love this app! Downloaded it during quarantine even though the kids weren’t going to school. They love being part of picking lunches and they’re actually happy to eat now. It made my life easier, I can’t believe I hadn’t heard of this before this year!

We love the app! We can add our own choices for the kids to pick from. The grocery list makes it easy to make sure we have everything we need for the week. The customer service is so quick to respond!

This app is so simple and brilliant. My daughter loves picking out her lunches in a fun way.

I wish they had more items that you could choose from or add. But other than that it’s an great app.

This app has been great to get my kiddos involved in making lunches! No more complaints or uneaten lunches at the end of the day because they have chosen what goes in. The grocery list feature is especially convenient, I can see just what I need to buy according to what they’ve chosen. My favorite part is that they get ideas for new and different foods that they wouldn’t eat if it was me suggesting it! My son ate tuna sandwiches for lunch every day last week, something he had never wanted before. I’m all about making it easier to feed my kids healthy, whole foods!

I have always included my girls in the planning of their lunches but it was like pulling teeth. Since they started using LaLaLunchbox they not only love planning their own lunches but have started planning mine and my husbands too!!!😊

I personally love this app. It saves so much time in the morning. But I wish that you could set the limit of items in the lunchbox, and I also wish you could add your own items and delete some of the provided items. Do this in the next update, and the app will officially be the best app ever!!!!! Never mind, found out it already has both features!

It worked great until this week when it won't open. It gets to the home screen and then closes back down. So sad since this is the first week of school and I really needed it!!

Frustrated that the buttons often don't work. I like the overall concept but it's useless if we pick a snack or a meal and then the DONE button won't work.

This app keeps crashing and hasn't worked for months.

I love this app, but recently all of the photos I've added for new foods disappear. Any idea when that will be fixed?

I love this app! I was in search of an app that could show my kids choices for lunch. I used to use a worksheet and a dry erase marker and have the kids select what items they wanted for lunch. This work somewhat, the problem was that I had to print a new sheet when the items changed. With lala lunchbox I am able to customize food items that my kids love. My kids love selecting what they want for lunch. In the morning all I need to do is pull up their order and make it. In the morning my brain is not running at top speed so I it would take some time to figure out what to pack and hope that my kids will like it. I use bentgo lunch containers for my kids. This app helps me to fill all the compartments.

This app should solve our school lunch packing problems. And it should make their lunches healthier because they can see the varied choices instead of picking the same things everyday. Love that the lists can be shared from device to device and that it makes a shopping list.

I used to use this app for myself during college. It was awesome and I loved using it! I stopped using it for a year or so, and recently thought I should check this out again now that I'm out of college. The dumb thing is though, that the monster covers up over half of the lunchbox so you can't see the last 2 categories! I don't know if this is just my phone or if it's happening to other iPhone 4s users, but it's really irritating. I wish it could be fixed because I loved this app! I want to keep using it!

This is a great app! I only have one problem, I can not delete or edit the lunchboxs and this makes it difficult to use. I need these problems to be fixed to give it five stars.

We’ve been using the app for a while with good success. I load it up with the agreed options and foods she likes and she she gets to pick whats in her lunches— she can’t complain! Woo hoo! Great customer support to boot, a definite recommend.

My kids and I really enjoy using this app. I wish there were a way to include more of the foods the kids like and that we could add some of our own ideas for lunches.

I thought this was a cute and functional app for my kindergartner, who is adept at feeding monsters. The construct is easily understood, but it is unfortunately not user friendly. It does not sync between devices, even though we have it linked to be on the iPad and mine and my husband's phones, so any updates or changes that are made to the menu options only show up on the device in which it was made. Because I took photos of food items to customize things, that means we always have to use my phone, and the images are very small, not to mention that the menu is so small it is hard for him to page through the options. Items that I have deleted multiple times somehow keep showing up. There are food items that have pictures and can only be used in one category, which is frustrating--it would be nice to be able to add some items to >1 category (e.g., applesauce in both Fruit and Snack categories). When we have the time to research a new app, we will definitely change, because it is a frequent hassle.

Downloaded this app last year for my son when we were both so tired of PB&J in his lunchbox. I was so surprised at some of the things he requested for lunch via the app! He was 7 when we started, which I think was a great age to begin planning. He understood the choices he needed to make and I rarely had to veto anything. His sister is now 5 and we've started her on the app too. It takes a little more effort with her- I sit and do it with her. But I consider it training her to make the healthy choices. I do wish there was an easier way to switch between boxes while packing the lunches. I think someone else suggested swiping up which would be great. I also wish you could customize the number of items by user as well as edit custom items after you add them. All in all, we love this app!!

There is no option to add your own food ideas. Lots of things we normally take for lunch are not on this list, and can't be added. Also, it just seems to be an ad for Applegate foods. My child doesn't understand what half the stuff listed is & it's not even available in our area. Not worth buying the app, and not really worth having when it's free.

I love the app it was so helpful especially when it was a last minute kind of thing.😄

My son enjoys being able to decide what he eats for lunches, and I like that I can modify the lists to reflect what we have in the house and what he can eat. The grocery list function helps me plan my shopping trips, which is an added bonus. Love it!

We have used this app since school started at the end of August. Since updating to ios8 it wont save meals and the grocery check off is not working. I touch one item and it blanks out the whole list or it marks of another item above or below the one I selected. Hope this is fixed soon my boys like planning their meals for school.

I love the concept. Unfortunately, once a custom item is entered, it can't be edited. I wanted to add a photo later and couldn't. On another one, I didn't get to change category before choosing a pic from my library. It was saved automatically in the wrong category, which cannot be edited. It would also be better if user could limit how many items from each category a child can pick. I don't want my child picking only 4 snacks or no protein. If I have to verbally restrict what they choose as they're doing it, I'm losing out on the fun of the app for them.

Great idea with a lot of promise. I was trying out the lunch app with interest in the breakfast app. Couple big shortcomings, so it won't be useful for me until addressed. 1) after you add a food you can't edit it. I discovered this after I entered a bunch of things and realized 2) only about 10 characters display in the lunchbox. Annoying (how do you distinguish between plain applesauce, cinnamon applesauce, and berry applesauce? In 10 characters in a way kids could understand?) but I might could've figured how to solve that. Except per #1 I couldn't simply edit, I had to re-enter a new item and disable previous. That's also about the time I realized 3) once you've selected something to put in the lunchbox it only shows the pic and not the label. Again an annoyance. (Except who has time to find/make every item to take a pic before adding it?) And if you mess up you can't change it.

kids love it and i love it, makes the mornings so much easier! Would LOVE the option to swipe up to switch between kids. Right now when making lunch, have to choose kid, find day, switch to list mode, then go back and do the same thing for the next kid. I would love to be in list mode for that day and be able to swipe up or down to switch kids, please add this feature!

I don't know about you, but when I wake up in the morning I kind of mess around. And sometimes I don't have time to plan out my lunch in the morning, I use this app at night and plan everything out. And then in the morning I just packed my lunch, It is definitely worth the price.😊

Great for my son to help with lunches and I don't have to think about WHAT to put in his lunch. That sometimes is the hardest part for some reason. ;) wish there was one of these for dinners too!

So far so good, just started using today. Makes it easy to plan the week on your shopping day. Needs 2 things: a place for the drink selection and a place for notes like "don't forget to add the ice pack" or "pack change to buy a milk at school" - that would be very helpful for the next update.

Looks like this will help us get out of the rut of what to make for lunch. I like that it also helps to choose a balanced meal.

This is a well-thought and well-designed app that will make my life easier. I love that the choices are healthy, that I can add foods, and that my techo-geek kid can be involved with the lunch planning process.

I just downloaded this app and the breakfast one too. It's not my kids stuck in a rut of what to eat -it's me of what to feed them. They have iPod touches and I think if they put their choices on their touch it'll sync to my phone. (If I remember the describe I briefly scanned it said sync between devices - oooh I hope so!) Too have a shopping list too. Same problem with breakfast as with lunch! $.99 each is well worth giving it a try. I added my own lunchbox. I need inspiration too. Upon playing with my lunchbox it's beautifully done. Clean easy ui and great food pictures. I almost want to wake my kids up to show them. Update a few days later: still loving this I've added a user called Dinner. My children have added a user called Dessert. We are taking pictures of meals (when we remember) that are our dinner favorites that are not in here. Oh found out the .$99 sale is thru August if I remember correctly. Both the breakfast app and the lunch app are great. I've requested a dinner app from the developer! I definitely do NOT want the apps combined. My only other request would be that the food data bases are shared with all three apps, like the grocery lists. Each having theses categories : produce, protein, starches, snacks/treats For example left overs from dinner are a popular breakfast item and 90% of the time my children choose to have their treat for the day after breakfast.

Great app for helping make the daily question of what to make easier but it does not refresh ideas so you could eventually tire of the options.

My kids and I love this app! I let the kids pick their lunches each week as we go through all the different food options. The best part is that it gives us ideas for foods we never would've thought about. I am much more organized with my grocery shopping, and I don't waste food, because I know the kids will eat what I've packed them - and food doesn't get lost in the fridge!! Thanks for helping me organize and keeping my kids healthy!

Great app and very helpful when trying to plan meals for the kids ahead of time.

Makes packing lunches easier and let's my 7 year old feel like she has some sort of control over the process.

I must be the only one not impressed with this app. I suppose I thought it did more as far as nutrition went. Instead of having it set at what they 'should' have nutritionally at each meal (also by adding the child's age to adjust to their needs), you just change the total number of items in the lunchbox. Also, the foods listed are so limiting. We eat lots of vegetables in our house, and most of them aren't listed. Sure I can sit there and program them all in, but I don't have time. The monster idea is cute, the app Itself is setup very nice. I just wish it functioned more in making sure the child gets what they 'need' put into their boxes. I would use this not only for lunch, but every meal. As of now, I have yet to use it. :/

Easy to use and fun. I like that you can add your own items, with your own pictures. I wish the snack section was called grains, to better keep track of food groups. Another nice feature to add might be a sandwich builder, to help keep track of toppings for the grocery list:)

Easy to use and customize, and my kids love it. Eliminates the tedium of "what do you want for lunch today?" and the kids are increasingly using the app to help them pack their own lunches. One suggestion for improvement -- make switching to the list view for each day easier. The existing button is teeny.

There is not a lot of food chooses you should be able to put in your own food not just choose things!!!! I tried to find a turkey wrap or anything like that but all I could find was a Salem and cream or something gross like that!! DON'T WASTE MONEY SAVE IT!!!!
